Horse Trader found themselves in the position where they were failing to keep up with their competitors who all had a successful social media presence. Xyone’s priority was to devise a long term social media strategy for Horse Trader. Our team researched and analysed the competition, we determined the tone of voice and general theme of the accounts

Background

Horse Trader was launched back in 1997 with a sole purpose to offer a wide range of equestrian services including; horses, ponies, horseboxes and equestrian property for sale. By bringing constant daily updates of the latest products, horses for sale, equestrian news and articles, Horse Trader Online is the number one site to be for the lovers of the equestrian world.

Problem

Horse Trader sourced Xyone to do development work on their website and during this time it was apparent Horse Trader didn’t have a social media strategy or any accounts running. Horse Trader was failing to keep up with their competitors who all had a successful social media presence.

Objectives

Xyone’s priority was to devise a long term social media strategy for Horse Trader, to do this we needed to:

  • Research and analyse Horse Trader’s competitors social media presence.
  • Determine the tone of voice and general theme for Horse Trader’s social media accounts.
  • Set up social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and several others.
  • Promote the Facebook, Twitter etc. pages to gain fans and followers using the website and e-newsletters.

  • Xyone have allowed Horse Trader to be vocal on these sites with daily updates using informative articles or information on special offers.
  • Xyone have been able to create their brand presence on these sites by creating Horse Trader branded Twitter backgrounds and Facebook welcome pages.
