Mobile Application Development.
The Challenge
Mobile websites and applications are increasingly becoming a necessity for any company, especially an online company who provides valuable information to parents about what shopping centres and popular tourist hotspots provide baby changing, breast feeding and parent & child parking facilities. Xyone’s client, Nappy Stop needed to provide an on-the-go solution to parents desperately looking for any of the above facilities and designing and developing a mobile application was what Xyone needed to achieve.
The Results
Since the Nappy Stop mobile application went live Xyone and their client have seen very successful results;
- During the first few months of the application being live, over 1,500 downloads was achieved.
- The Nappy Stop application created such a positive vibe during the launch of the application that the product was featured on popular ITV programme “This Morning” in August 2011.
Methodology
Xyone’s main objective was to build and create an attractive and user friendly mobile application that allowed parents to easily access information on where they can change their baby and breast feed. The application also needed to include;
- GPS signal integration to help determine the location of the users and guide them to the nearest recommended location.
- A directory system where users can browse through the full list of locations and hotspots and view detailed information about each one.
