LinkedIn Hacking Announced.

Due to the shocking news that broke earlier today, we are urging you all to change your account password for LinkedIn.

LinkedIn have confirmed that 6.46 million passwords have been stolenthrough a security breach. The hacker responsible for this has posted all 6.46 million encrypted passwords (without usernames) onto an open forum to prove it.

Vicente Silveira, director of LinkedIn said: "We can confirm that some of the passwords that were compromised correspond to LinkedIn accounts. We are continuing to investigate this situation,"

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our members. We take the security of our member’s very seriously." added Silveira.

Hacking is a serious issue for companies and internet users with more and more hacking instances happening. The same Russian hacker has also stolen over 1.5 million passwords from the popular dating website eHarmony.

With a massive website like LinkedIn falling victim of a security breach all website owners need to seriously consider the security of their website and the safety of their user's information.
