Great SEO 'can significantly improve profitability'

Companies that employ a quality search marketing strategy could find that they see a big difference in the profitability of their business, it has been suggested.
David Dalka, of Search Engine Watch, said quality search engine optimisation (SEO) campaigns and other search marketing techniques could be more effective than alternative advertising channels, both economically and in terms of relevancy.
He warned that executives focussing on the price of SEO could be making a mistake and that it is often more beneficial to look at the strategic effectiveness of such campaigns.
The expert added that SEO is often underestimated at the moment and asserted that the return on investment for this form of marketing is usually strong.
He explained that by reducing advertising spend on print media or other channels could lead to lower costs and the implementation of a successful SEO campaign could help to drive up sales.
"Constant or increased revenue, combined with reduced traditional media spending increased profitability," Mr Dalka commented.
However, in order for SEO services to be expanded and adopted by more companies, the strategies need to have "strong executive sponsorship".
This comes after Chris Baggott of Compendium Blogware told BtoBOnline that firms looking to improve their SEO could find that starting a company blog is an effective way to draw in more traffic.
